Once there was an Earthmother and Skyfather. There names were Ranginui the Sky Father and Papatuanuku the Earthmother. They had children and since Ranginui and Papatuanuku were held together the children had no space to move.The kids keeped moving and pushed them apart. When they got pushed apart they would cry and tears will fall down from the sky because of Ranginui. His tears are raindrops and when his tears fall the sea rises higher. The beaches rise every time Ranginui cries because he misses Papatuanuku.
